Democrats face challenging Senate landscape

FILE - In this Feb. 26, 2013, file photo, Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich. speaks with reporters on Capitol Hill in Washington. Levin said Thursday, March 7, he will not seek re-election in 2014. He says he wants to do his job as Senate Armed Services chairman and as an advocate for his home state "without the distraction of campaigning for re-election."
